About SaunaPass

SaunaPass is a UK directory for two things we love: a good sauna and a cold swim. We help you find them, see what they're actually like, and get out the door.

What you'll find

Saunas, banyas and bathhouses — from dedicated city sauna clubs to barrel saunas by the sea — alongside wild-swimming spots: lakes, rivers, tidal pools and designated bathing waters. Every listing has the practical details (location, photos, opening hours where we have them) plus community ratings from people who've actually been.

Where the data comes from

Sauna listings are sourced from Google and curated by hand — we filter out the beauty salons and gyms that just happen to have the word "sauna" in their name. Wild-swimming spots come from OpenStreetMap and the Environment Agency's designated bathing-water data, so the official spots are clearly marked.

A note on safety

Wild swimming carries real risks — cold-water shock, currents, tides and water quality. We show safety information where we have it, but conditions change. Always check locally, never swim alone if you're unsure, and use your own judgement. SaunaPass is a discovery tool, not a guarantee of safety.
